Writers Oasis at the Haliburton School of the Arts–Summer of 2023!
If you are looking for a creative summer holiday, I am very happy to tell you about The Haliburton School of Art and Design run by Fleming College in Haliburton, ON. They offer 5 day courses in many of the studio and expressive arts.
I have gone 3 summers for painting and mixed media sessions and had a blast. And this summer I will be facilitating a 5 day Writers’ Oasis! Woo HOO! Monday – Friday, August 7 – 11, 9 – 4:30. We will write to prompts all in the morning and spend time in the afternoon working on our pieces. We will share them again at the end of the day and get all kinds of feedback: affirmations of what works as well as questions and suggestions that may prove useful to you as you proceed.

Rent a cottage or stay at a B&B.
Hike and swim when not writing.
Coffee on the dock in the morning. A G&T on the dock after class….
